What exactly makes someone a candidate for deviousness? Well, if we went by artistic merit, we would probably think that someone who is not afraid to experiment with multiple mediums and venture into unknown territory would be a good candidate. If we were to go by community involvement we would probably look at someone who goes out of their way to help people further their own art through encouragement and well thought out critiques in a manner that inspires the person to push themselves further.
